William T. Ford

William T. Ford, age 89, of Lansing, passed away peacefully while surrounded by family on Sunday, September 15, 2024, at Cayuga Medical Center following a brief illness.

 Bill, as he was better known, was born in Fruitland, MD, on January 6, 1935, to the late William R. and Mildred (Francis) Ford. He retired from Agway in 1997 after 42 years as a salesman. Bill found joy in traveling the country, especially its shores, with his beloved wife, Laura. Above all, he cherished his family dearly.

 Bill was predeceased by his wife, Laura, on October 3, 2008. He is survived by their children, Georgia (Paul) Hotchkiss and Tom (Kristen) Ford; grandchildren, Brett (Megan) Hotchkiss, Brian Hotchkiss, Matthew Ford and Jocelyn (Jerrin) Toomey; great-grandchildren, Quinn, Weston and William Hotchkiss, and Cori Toomey; brother, Robert Ford; sister-in-law, Ella (Roger) Boda; brother-in-law, Charles (Vivian) Lent; nieces, Tamra (Rich) Schad and Kim Ford; nephews, Michael and Les Boda, and Nathan and Brantley Ford; and numerous cousins and great nieces and nephews.

 The family will hold prayers of committal at Pine Grove Cemetery in Lansing. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Lansing Lunchbox, Lansing Food Pantry, or Lansing Parks & Recreation.
