On July 26, 2024, one day before his 58th birthday, Scott Thomas Weaver peacefully passed away surrounded by his loving family after a long illness. Scott lived his whole life in Lansing, NY. In 1985, he graduated from Lansing High School and attended TC3. After 31 years as a loyal employee at the Lansing Highway Department, he retired and started a successful landscaping business. Throughout his life, Scott also worked as a talented craftsman and builder. His fine work can be seen all over the town of Lansing. Scott is remembered as a kind and generous man who would help anyone. In 1991, Scott married the love of his life, LauraLee, and together they raised a strong, caring daughter, Ashley, of whom he took great pride. Scott grew up on his grandfather's horse farm. After long days in the hay fields, Scott was happiest riding the trails on the back of his favorite horse, Omar. Scott also enjoyed spending his summers at Cayuga Lake. In his youth, he loved swimming and water skiing. In his later years, he enjoyed going out on the boat for long sunset rides and taking his nieces tubing. Scott's favorite NFL team was the Miami Dolphins and he was also an avid NASCAR fan, cheering on Jeff Gordon to all of his victories over the years.
Scott was predeceased by his grandparents, Charles and Helen Howell, and AJ and Ruth Weaver; and his mother-in-law, Lorraine Dickhaut. He is survived by his wife, LauraLee; daughter, Ashley Mix (Tyler); delightful grandson, Lucas; parents, David and Marcia Weaver; sister, Marlo Weaver; father-in-law, Jack Dickhaut; brother-in-law, JR Dickhaut; nieces, Anna and Emily; nephews, Cody (Emily), Dalton and John Robert; and many beloved aunts, uncles and cousins.
