Ruth L. Belknap

Ruth Lester Belknap, 91, died at Cayuga Medical Center on December 27, 2012. Ruth was born in Irwin, Pennsylvania to Herbert and Mary Lester. As a young woman she worked at Westinghouse Corporation in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where she met James Bryant. They married in 1945 and later moved to Buffalo, New York where she devoted her time to being a loving mother and enjoyed playing bridge, golf, and bowling. She married Warren Belknap in 1988. Together, they spent many years managing Belknap Heating and Cooling and enjoyed traveling in their spare time. After retirement, they moved to Ithaca, New York.

Ruth is survived by her loving husband Warren Belknap, her daughter, Candace Cima, stepson Alan Belknap, and his wife Angela, stepson Brian Belknap, step daughter Sue Rawe and her husband Ken, along with six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She will be remembered for her love of family and the laughter she brought to every family gathering.
