Roseanne “Ro” Burin, 49, passed away April 25, 2011, at Cayuga Medical Center, surrounded by family and friends.

Born November 3, 1961, in Ithaca, Ro was a lifelong resident of the Lansing community.  Preceded in death by her father, Paul Burin,  she is survived by her Mom and Stepdad, Carolyn and Louie “JR” Mikula; her second Mom, Agnes Burin; daughter, Shauna; three granddaughters, who were the “loves of her life”, Ashlie, Alexis and Allana Hamilton; her beloved dog, “Chow”; her sisters, Bambi Kershaw, Denise “Murf” Sloan of TX, Penny Burin of Ithaca and Missie Pealo; nephews, Mike and Jordan of Auburn; uncle, William “Billy” and Joan Burin of Myers; special cousins, Candy Delong, Melissa, Mirah and Jesse, all of Ithaca.  Ro is also survived by her friends, Missie McDermott and Cindy Reeves.  Ro and Cindy worked together cleaning homes for numerous people whom she also thought of as family. 

Ro had struggled for years with cancer, but was always there taking care of her grandchildren and working.  A wonderful daughter and friend, she will be missed by so many.

It was Ro’s desire to be cremated and friends are invited to call from 5 – 7pm, Thursday, April 28th, at Lansing Funeral Home, 32 Auburn Rd., Lansing, NY.
