Robert M. Quick of Lansingville, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on December 15, 2017 at the age of 91.Bob attended Ithaca High School and proudly served his country with the United States Army in 1945 and 1946. He was a dedicated employee with Morse Chain for 36 years, and bowled for many years with the Morse Chain league. He was a member of the Lansingville Fire Dept. and enjoyed spending time with family and friends at the family cottage on Cayuga Lake. He spent many hours creating beautiful pieces with his woodworking tools. Bob was married for 70 years to Marilyn Whiting Quick, who preceded him in death on April 23, 2017. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Shirley Moeller and a grandson, Bobby Quick. Bob is survived by his sons; Randall Quick (Sandra) of Marietta, NY, David Quick (Glenda) of Ithaca and Robert Quick (Jayne) of Hamlin, NY; grandchildren, Mike, Bradley, Kevin, Brian, Christine, Alex and David; and great grandchildren, Gavin, Olivia, Michael, Caitlin, Abigail and Delila.For those who wish, memorial contributions may be directed to Gadabout, 737 Willow Ave., Ithaca, NY 14850.Family will receive friends at Lansing Funeral Home, 32 Auburn Rd., Lansing, NY on Thursday, December 21st from 1 - 2pm. A funeral service, officiated by Rev. Matthew Binkewicz, will begin at 2pm. Burial at Lakeview Cemetery, Ithaca, will be delayed until spring.
