Paul G. VanDuzer

Paul G. VanDuzer, age 70, passed away on February 1, 2018, in Syracuse after a brief illness.

Born March 4, 1947 in Johnson City, NY, Paul was the son of the late George and Helen Robbins VanDuzer. He grew up in the Broome County area and graduated from Johnson City High School and Keystone Junior College. Paul was retired from NY State as a Developmental Aide with Broome DDSO. He had a strong dedication and passion for his work and continued as a volunteer with Broome Day Services. Paul was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Church, and in his spare time enjoyed bowling, raising rabbits and guinea pigs; and was a long-time member of the American Rabbit Breeder’s Association.

Paul is survived by his wife, Pat VanDuzer; children, Elizabeth VanDuzer of Ithaca, Paul Joseph VanDuzer of CA, Andrew VanDuzer (Ashlie) of MD; grandchildren, Timothy and Alora VanDuzer of MD, Meshach Fifth and Everett Fifth-Lince of OR; his sister, Martha White (Ernie) of Cicero; close friend, Bev Hoskins of Newark Valley; his cat, Sidney; and extended family.

A funeral mass, officiated by Fr. Joe Marcoux, will begin at 11am, Wednesday, February 7th, at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 309 Siena Dr., Ithaca, NY. A graveside service will be held at noon, Thursday, February 8th, Vestal Hills Memorial Park, 3997 Old Vestal Rd., Vestal, NY.
