Marilyn J. Quick

Marilyn J. Quick of Lansingville, passed away peacefully on April 23, 2017, at the age of 89.

Born August 30, 1927, in Ithaca, Marilyn was the daughter of the late Floyd and Winifred Besemer Whiting.  After graduating Ithaca High School, Marilyn married her husband of 70 years, Robert Quick, and soon after, they moved to Lansingville, where they have resided for over 65 years.  Marilyn was a homemaker and was also employed at the Lansing School cafeteria for many years.  She spent several years as one of the “pink ladies”, volunteering at Tompkins County Hospital.  Marilyn’s primary focus was always her family; she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

In addition to her husband, Robert Quick, Marilyn is survived by her children; Randall Quick (Sandra) of Marietta, NY, David Quick (Glenda) of Ithaca and Robb Quick (Jayne) of Hamlin, NY; grandchildren, Mike, Bradley, Kevin, Brian, Christine, Bobby, Alex and David; and great grandchildren, Gavin, Olivia, Michael, Caitlin, Abigail and Delila.

Family will receive friends at Lansing Funeral Home, 32 Auburn Rd., Lansing, NY on Friday, April 28th from 11 am to 12pm.  A funeral service, officiated by Rev. Matthew Binkewicz, will begin at 12pm, followed by burial at Lakeview Cemetery in Ithaca.
