John P. Spain

John P. Spain of Woodsedge Dr. in Lansing, passed away November 6, 2016, at the age of 87.

Born July 3, 1929 in Philadelphia, PA, John was the son of the late Benjamin and Ruth Bailey Spain.  He proudly served his country with the US Air Force during the Korean War, after which he returned to the Philadelphia area and was employed with the US Postal Service until his retirement. 

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his wife, Genevieve Burk Spain.

He is survived by his sisters, Ruth Thomson and Mabel Spain, both of Philadelphia; as well as several nieces and nephews. 

John will be buried at 11am, Thursday, November 10, 2016, with full Military Honors, at Sampson Memorial Veterans Cemetery, Romulus, NY.
