Goldie Jane Percy

Goldie Jane (Kelley) Percy, 73, of Locke, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 24, 2023.  Born in Cortland, NY, on June 14, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Dorothy Arlene (Brown) Kelley.  Goldie was a 1967 graduate of Lansing High School.  She retired from NYSEG after 31 years of employment as a computer programmer.

In her free time, Goldie enjoyed camping, gardening, and watching the birds.  Over the years, her family visited all 48 contiguous states and camped in many.  She was an animal lover and strong supporter of military veterans.  Nothing, however, was more important to her than family.

Goldie was predeceased by the love of her life and husband, Donald Henry Percy, in 2018; sons, Jeffrey Donald Percy in 2015 and Wesley A. Percy in 2023; and grandson, Dakota MX Percy, in 2020.  She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Janelle Percy; grandchildren, Skylar and Peyton Percy; sisters, Sandra Newton and Nancy Shea; nephews, Will and Brian Newton; and nieces, Amber Mutschler, Nanette Cook and Melissa Josey.

A graveside service for Goldie and Wesley, officiated by Pastor David Quigley, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, May 1, 2023, in North Lansing Cemetery.
